Hi all.
What is the best and cheapest way to get mobile internet? ? ?
Im a bit vague on dongles and so on, probably through naivety.
If someone could explain or recommend the best ones to get in terms of usage and cost, that'd be great, thank you.

It depends on how much data you intend to use each month and how often you will be using it. As there are contract pay monthly options and pay as you go packages, so if you are using it heavily, then a contract monthly option will work out as better value, but if it is only for the occasional time you are out and about, perhaps on a trip etc then a pay as you go dongle will be best.Shin: a device for finding furniture in the dark.

After the aggro I had with E2Save and T-Mobile, I would strongly advise you to get a PAYG dongle, some are very cheap, the dearest I think is £10 + monthly fee [usually £5 per gb]. When I got this dongle, it did not work at my address [their web page said it did] and I missed the 7 day E2Save returns date [by a day] because I accepted T-Mobile's initial excuses. After weeks of them passing me back and forth, I got trading Standards involved [I always keep details of calls; emails; names; etc.] on a Friday, they rang them Monday am and then T-Mobile rang me in the afternoon to arrange return and cancel the outstanding contract and drop the debt collectors, I also made sure they reimbursed me for the £5-50 postage as well.
Vodafone used to be £15 per month or 3gb whichever came sooner but from next month they have changed to 2gb for the same charge. I complained and their response was that not many users used that much so they changed it [why if not many used it?] and if I was one of the ones that did
".. but if you’re in the 10% of pay as you browse customers who use 3GB of UK data a month, you’ll simply need to top up a bit more regularly.. ".
Or tough s**t in other words, needless to say I am dropping them.0 -
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. At argos the T-Mobile dongle with 3 months data allready on it is £31 that gives you 2 gig for a month x3. 2 gig, will last you if you do basic stuff like check emails/post on forums etc. Very have same dongle for £24-50. The 3 netwrok gives you more for your money. You get 3 gig for a month if you top up £15 but, it only last for 30 days. Get a 3 sim card off ebay for £7 that comes with 3 gig on it and lasts 90 days. Works out way cheaper. Make sure, you do a postcode check first to get an idea that you'll get a decent signal as the dongle will be a waste off money otherwise.0
