Iphone while abroad....First time

I went to Paris at weekend and left my Iphone at home and took my pay as yo go Blackberry to be on the safe side.0

I switched off my cellular data which meant i could only access the internet via wifi

I'd say it's best to get a LOCAL payg sim as it means you are not paying rip off "roamed" rates. It would be very annoying having a smart phone abroad and being limited to surfing on the hotel's wifi.0

If you do take a uk payg sim then T-mobile seems to be the best.For 10 pounds you get 50mb internet i n EU valid for a month.I used it for one week no problems this year in Bulgaria and it lasted all week of checking e-mails/facebook updates and general web browsing.Just make sure it is topped up with at least 10 pounds before you go & when abroad when you go on internet,you will be directed to page asking if you want to buy a eurobooster data package.You cannot use the net in EU without purchasing one.
