Orange Haggling experience?
Hey all, new here but been reading the site and loving what you guys do.
I'm currently about to start off a haggling war with Orange regarding a contract for around £10~ a month
I've just had a chat with a customer services rep and she said Orange were unable to change their preset contract deals. I'm guessing this is a lie but I've yet to use my PAC code request trump card.
Anybody with any experience with haggling with Orange? Do they budge on their preset only contract deals?
I'm concerned with the fact I've been a PAYG customer with Orange for 10+ years and whether this will carry any weight with my haggling??
Idealy I'm looking for a £10 a month contract (contract length is irrelevant to me), with 300+ mins, 300+ texts & 500Mb data.
I've seen on Omio that T-Mobile through a 3rd party can give you 300mins & unlimited texts plus a free Blackberry Curve 8520 all for £15. So severely reducing the text allowance to 300 and asking for free data should be doable from Orange... right...? I donno, I'm new to this lol

If all you are looking to spend is £10 a month then Orange aren't going to fight too hard to keep you, unfortunately. If you don't like what they're offering then you might just have to go elsewhere to get what you're after. If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button

thanks for the advice guys... in the end I got the Dolphin 25 contract for £17.50 a month including a free Blackberry Curve 8520
Not bad I guess...but after I set up my new sim it said I had only 20 xnet mins instead of the agreed 300. So I'm gonna call them back to see what's what0
