  • How about making potato dauphinoise, but instead of using cream (because of cholesterol prob) use the creme fraiche, mustard and mushroom sauce to cook them in?

I dont know whats wrong with mash & Chicken, i think the textures would jarr a bit

Mash reserved in this house for pienmash or bangers n mash or chop with mash & veg.

Personally I dont think it goes with the creme fraiche- does it?

I tihnk im gonna stick with roasties :D

I think chicken goes just fine with mash. Even nicer with some savoy cabbage mashed in it. And I have been known to make mash WITH creme friache and yum yum - it's very nice indeed.

I really like pommes boulangere - thinly slice the potatoes and layer them with a thinly sliced onion. Pour over stock, dot a little butter over the top, and bake until crispy. You can also add in layers of carrot, squash, sweet potatoes, parsnip, or other veggies that roast well. Yummy, and fairly low fat!
