I have always been with the RAC and when I have called them out to a breakdown, which is the only time it matters after all, they have always been quick and effective. For that reason I've never considered changing for the sake of a few quid.

Well the difference between that and firstcall is about £70, more if you look at Swinton so bit of a difference ;) almost double....

Swinton looks good in terms of price, perhaps too good, no experience of them though, will have to see if i can find any reviews...I know their car insurance is a bit dodgy but that's all.

Do you shop at Tesco? On the rewards scheme they do several different RAC packages. The one you are looking for costs £66 in vouchers.

:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

We do, but we were saving them for a weekend away as we've had to move again due to landlord's place being sold and it's taken up all our summer finding somewhere so we need the break...:D

I've recently received my AA renewal notice for £132 for roadside and home start. I searched around and found Asda doing the same cover (except they cover the car and not me) for £73.92. So I phoned the AA (on hold for 30 minutes but 0800 number) and after the usual speel of how great they are they said they would do it for £79.

After getting up off the floor I said no thanks because if they can do it for £79 that's what the renewal quote should have stated. So if you really want to stay with the AA get a genuine quote and speak to them. One free phone call and they were willing to knock £53 off my renewal.
    It's someone else's fault.

Uses RAC - £131 and you get an additional £30 tyre voucher to set off against next tyre purchase.
    So works out at £101

There is also 20% cashback for Swinton making it £36 seems a good price to me.

Would you trust a company like Swinton with breakdown insurance, I wouldn't.
