Internet charges for 3

I'm not sure if i'm being a bit dense, but my wife has just upgraded with 3 and got an HTC wildfire. Part of the allowance is 1GB of internet per month. She was playing around with it last night and had a text to say that she had incurred a cost of £2.92 for internet usage. We have Wifi at home which i have put her phone on to, but why are we being charged extra. Is there something i can do to ensure she only uses wifi when available?
Thanks

Hi there
She shouldn't have incurred the charges if she has 1Gb of internet, unless she's been downloading films to her phone!! I'd query it with Three.
You can download the Wildfire User Guide here (clicky). Have a look at the section called "Internet Connections" on page 111 as it covers how to set up, enable and disable the connections. In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -
As it was an upgrade, has her new contract kicked in yet? She might still be on her old tariff until her billing date.0
