Worst case scenario, you may lose the £15 which PayPal charges for arbitration if they are unable to recover that amount from the seller's account. Hope this helps.

Actually the worst case scenario is worse than that, but the signs aren't bad so far, so I wouldn't worry unduly, OP, just follow the advice about ringing him and opening a dispute.

Ebay charge the £15 fee, not paypal. And you are only guaranteed your money back in full if the seller had seller protection.

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

  • hi,

just looked at your auction, it ended 16th sat, so seller could post till monday 18th and i would expect due to weight of items that RM would send them standard parcels - but being high value item would normally suggest to send via parcel-farce to insure items and there really poor at delivery! bringing you upto the sept weekend bank holiday. i'd give it till wed before you need to worry - still very poor comms from seller, opend dispute as soon as possible just to remind them to contact you and starts the ball rolling if the worst happens. his feedback looks fine though other item he sold on that day was a small £5 sale left his feedback 23rd so guessing you seller went down to RM around 18/20th to post both items

  • Yes, naughty man. His auction states First Class delivery. Technically the length of time it takes to arrive is outside his control, but he should definitely have used the postage method advertised.
