Cheapest non-contract iPhone 4

Due to bad credit, I cannot get a mobile phone contract. I have tried with all of the networks offering iPhone 4. So, I am looking for the cheapest alternative solution. My current plan is to buy the phone (at a cost of £600) and then to use the O2 PAYG Simplicity tariff and just remember to make the monthly payments to keep the deal going. Are there any cheaper options available? I will use up to 600 minutes and 1000+ texts per month, as well as some data.

£600 is cheaper than some of the contract deals out there. I've seen deals that cost in the region of over £1500 once all the instalments have been paid.
  • The contract details for the minutes that I'll use work out cheaper than paying £600 and then purchasing a PAYG tariff.

The iPhone is one of few phones that is suitable for me. Being visually and hearing impaired, I need a phone with considerable zoom capabilities. This is something that nothing else even compared to the iPhone with regards to. The only other viable option is a Nikia S60 smartphone, and the Nuance ZOOMS application for this, but that is linked with all kinds of performance issues and is a real slowdown for phone use.

I can afford to pay the £600 for the phone, and to pay the cost for my usage, but I'm not a well off person and want to pay as little as possible. Of note though, I'm a traveling software engineer and consultant, and having a phone for which I have reliable and quick email and Internet access impacts upon my income in a positive way.

if ur looking for extra zoom and screen size, then why is the iphone 4 the BEST option?! its overpriced and the screen aint even large.

id say u were wasting £600 on it just for the features ur looking for. thats a heck of a lot to pay, just for zoom. unless ur gonna utilize all the iphone4 features, its a waste.
