Flashing through hugs for Miss H and AnW's -that's gotta hurt and unfortunately because it's a council run you will be unable to succesfully challenge.
I had an underpaid one once (they'd put the prices up and I hadn't noticed) no leg to stand on there.
Basically assume you pay IN ALL car parks here 24/7. Very little free street parking.
(PM me for details of free parking though in town, at night, I'd go for the paid and visible) though in town, at night, I'd go for the paid and visible)
Year 5 were ok - and the double treat is I am already getting asked to supply in my own classes! Woot woot!

Flylady (newbie) with weevils. I remember finding out that they hate the dry so the advice is to dry cupboard crevices with a hairdryer. I did, fellt like a numpty but I got rid. Mind you I no longer buy dried semolina which seems to REALLY attract the little boogers...
P.S. sorry I can't remember your name but I am so so old...and wrinkly lol
and I will be HALF A CENTURY OLD before the month is out.
Now how the ^&%$&^%$% did THAT happen?
 (insert expletive of choice)

Hi everyone - and thanks so much for all the hugs and commiserations. The soreness is gradually wearing off now, though my fingers are still swollen, and turning rainbow-colours at the same time which looks horrific! But I'm hoping to be back gently flying tomorrow in a limited way.
To be fair, I'm not sure if the cyclist knew the full extent of what he had done - he sort of 'straight armed' me when he realised we were going to collide, and so retained his balance while I went flying. If I hadn't been carrying so many bags I might not have gone quite so flat, but your centre of gravity isn't the same as usual when you have heavy things on one shoulder.
Anyhow today I managed to fix up 6 separate dentist appts/boiler services/plumbing visits etc which have been outstanding for ages; plus I arranged to go to the theatre with my sister; went briefly to Lakeland and the garden centre for some specific bits and managed not to buy anything else ;); and did a bit of gentle cooking and harvesting from the garden (tomatoes, figs, grapes and cucumbers). So all was not lost. Plus school run and cello lesson drop-off: back on that treadmill again! ;); and did a bit of gentle cooking and harvesting from the garden (tomatoes, figs, grapes and cucumbers). Will see how things go tomorrow - meanwhile hugs for LameWolf who bears so much pain so bravely all the time (glad you survived the hospital trip relatively unscathed); also for Toots and LL.
 Night all

Hi all, well in late from work, didn't get back until gone seven, bad accident on the main road so was all blocked off so I had to find another way home.
Done - a very long days work, exhausting but rewarding and Pen Pen was in your neck of the woods today.
Also filled binbag full of rubbish.
Moved computer table back into dining room.
Hubby is packing up and preparing DD1's old room to decorate, he's nearly finished stripping the walls.
Made and decluttered tea which wasn't very nice, how on earth can I muck up spag bol?
DD1 started back at college and doing her A'levels, everything is crossed that she feels etter and gets on with them this year.
DD2 back at school and already fretting about the amount of work GCSE time.
 Week is flying by...eek.
DW x 1 but the shelf fell off and broke a glass.oops.
Ooooh lil-me, now if I remember rightly you're a Libran so it must be Valli's birthday soon too, my DD1 is 18 soon so we need to remember to put an announcement in the paper, plase can you remind me please.:)

            evening all
I see you have had a busy day and its very impressive!
Aunty you will be glad to know I just made a makeshift bed up and the carer made it up properly this morning - thanks for your concern and i will try to not let it happen again!!
invisible cabbage great to hear they are all doing their bit - keep cracking the whip:rotfl:
vanilla is it because daddy isnt there? you will have to hide the scissors now! hope Rhys gets rid of his cold etc very quickly now that you have loosened it a bit.
pigpen what a way you have with words - you made me giggle at the thought of that little bundle snoring!!:D Re: your list - you need to look at it and prioritise - I know they are all important but some maybe more important and urgent - group some together that could be done at the same time - come on woman you can multitask better than anyone - I am sure if you put your expert brain to work you can half that list.
seafarers - thats good - now remember to do as your are told and only light duties - gentle (((hugs)))
natty hope you are feeling a bit better - and only do what is absolutely necessary for the holiday! xx
Mumto5 huge (((hugs))) - you poor thing - you certainly have a lot on your plate just now - only you know best what to do about DH - but IMHO you need to have a serious sit down chat and find out his problem and point out yours. You cant go on like this. ETA strange about the school and DH! - glad things are a bit better for you.
Dusty hope it doesnt get too bad and you shake it off quickly (((hugs)))
rach glad they are ok and might be of use.
lil_me love and (((hugs))) for losing your 'baby' today - hope he had a good day and enjoyed it. any luck with the drain?
rachelet you are doing really well and 10 minute chunks with the girls works wonders - they dont get too bored and you see some progress - things will get easier the more often they are done and it will free up time for other jobs - forget trying to do it all - be realistic and I think you will achieve much more - I forgot you are in France - what a strange set-up regarding the wednesday!
MissH oooooooh that sounds really nasty - glad you are a walking wounded and nothing broken - shame on the eejit for not stopping but thank goodness there were others who helped - arnica on the bruised bits and I bet you have few and they will come out one by one - take it easy but if that hand doesnt improve be sure to get it checked - and well done for doing your talk - your legs must have been like jelly. (((hugs)))
MOAM you are an angel - I think its what i need - if I commit to doing it with you I hope that will spur me on - I have tons of stuff to move and I need £1000 asap! what are you thinking - are we to do a set amount or just anything?Mum_on_a_mission wrote: »so do I - car was silly money last week for a service, and needs an important bit sorting in a couple of weeks which will be around £500  - so if its not fixed it may end up on Ebay :rotfl: So Toots, ......... a small challenge - I will if you will...Moam
nattyt thats worryinga and annoying about the keys - have you sat down and tried to think really hard of when you last used them and retrace your steps?
SunnierDays welcome to the thread - i will send you a pm shortly. You can do any kind of list you want - with or without pigpen's lists - be realistic though and dont put too many things on for a day or you might get really disheartened when you dont achieve it.
LameWolf a big squishy hug for getting through the appointment - I hope the monitoring of the morphine will produce a better routine for you - now remember dont hold back on the Oramorph!!!!
serena - I will be fine - just not right now - nothing physical just emotional! The one thing I havent worked out is how to do a photo on here but I will try and do the necklace because I am pleased with it!toots - are you okay? What happened? Hugs. And can we have a picture of your necklace?
piggers I seem to remember we had this conversation about the boys last year too!!!!!
rach glad the scan etc went well - baby sounds a good weight already. I hope the 'team' will sort you out with the right type of birth - without causing you too many problems (((hugs)))
AnW'sMum SNAP!!! :rotfl:I just had an hour and half chat with a very good friend too and we could both talk for Scotland or England - redialling is the way to go!!!!
had a busy day - did my assisted shopping in the morning which was ok but not 100% successful although I did get the tins of sweets - you know the BIG tins:D - and the tins of choc biscuits all ready for ******mas!!!:D:p
then the highlight of the day was test driving my new wheels!!! No dont be silly of course I am not driving a car - an electric wheelchair! have decided on the model so have to arrange storage first.
then had visit from my priest friend before we went to the discussion group at the church.
so now that my phone call has kept me past my curfew and bedtime I will head for bed - after I have sorted a pm and taken in the washing which I forgot about.
love and hugs to everyone especially all the poorlies and Diva and LadyLiberty.
wont be around until tomorrow evening - see you all then

Ooohh, well done hun, very chuffed for you, its a good move because you can use your energy for stuff you want to do rather than using your spoons to get you places. Its a bargain I made with myself re my walking stick, fair swop really, that helps and I get to do a bit more. Much love xxxxxxDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08
