  • I believe Working Tax Credit is separate to Child Tax Credit. Would still depend on his circumstances, though. If he lives alone, I think that income would be too high to claim it. I was earning too much on 13K when I asked about it. May be different though, if he lives with someone else. I'm sure others will be along who have more experience of it to advise you.
From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!

Is he over 25 and work 30 hours per week? He can only claim if like the above poster says, he has a partner.

Who claims the child benefit? How do you claim WTC as well as IS - do you actually mean child tax credit?

People without kids can claim WTC also if they meet the income criteria. No harm in him trying

Yeah, like has been said already, anyone can put in a claim to WTC. Kids arent essential to getting it.

Why do you care what he is doing anyway?

Because I wanted to know if he could get it and that it wouldn't affect any of my payments. Why ask, it's nothing to do with my post.

    Thank for everyone answering

He's paying you £350 per month for the upkeep of your kids . Would it be so wrong for him to get a bit of help too ?
