My ex told me today that he's going to try and claim WTC
I have fulll custody of our two boys and get WTC and Income Support.
Can he claim it on £17,000 even thoughI have our kids

I believe Working Tax Credit is separate to Child Tax Credit. Would still depend on his circumstances, though. If he lives alone, I think that income would be too high to claim it. I was earning too much on 13K when I asked about it. May be different though, if he lives with someone else. People without kids can claim WTC also if they meet the income criteria. No harm in him trying0

Yeah, like has been said already, anyone can put in a claim to WTC. Kids arent essential to getting it.
