If you are going to reinstall windows, it won't be slow. How has it given up the ghost?

You won't need 2GB, 1GB will be more than enough, 512MB should be enough. Are you sure you need some?
There is a very noticeable difference between 1GB & 2GB of RAM on XP, and if you can't see the difference in day to day use then you are either not pushing the machine hard enough (in which case, 2GB is not needed to start with) or you have a bottleneck elsewhere within the system (eg, cheap crappy motherboard, "economy" RAM, slow HDD, etc).

Currently got 120GB, so I'm thinking stick with the same. The size is right for what we need. Price wise, maybe £40-£50 ish?

Thanks Donnie. Do I burn that to a CD once it's downloaded?

No, you run it now in order to make a copy of your Drivers, which you subsequently back up on to a CD.
Once you have reinstalled Windows, if there are any missing Drivers you can pop the CD into the machine in order to assist in their replacement.

If you cannot get your head around that product, you can try Driver Genius Professional 10

Also now...Download, install and run CPU-Z and produce a .txt dump(via the About Tab) which you can post here.

There are just too many cooks on this thread.

Downloaded the Driver Genius Program instead

Do you want all the cpu_z log?

Currently only have 512mb installed, want to upgrade it to either 1GB or 2GB. Have been told by 2 people now to get 1GB so that is what I will use

It keeps clicking and blue-screening. According to all the information I have been reading it is indicating a problem with the hard drive which may fail

You have 512MB DDR PC2-4300 installed. Not unusual for Crucial to only report what they actually have in stock, rather than what is installed.

Perhaps you are mixing the description DDR2-533 with PC2 4300, as they are one and the same.
It appears your Motherboard can support up to PC2-6400.

    So you can buy a matching 512MB PC2 4300 or a single 1GB PC2 6400. So yes, a single 1GB PC2 6400 will be faster than 2 x 512MB PC2 4300.

Don't spend too much on the thing.

Each memory slot can hold DDR2 PC2-6400, DDR2 PC2-5300 with a maximum of 2GB per slot

So purchase a 1GB PC2-6400 and I should be faster once the new hard-drive is in?

Has the Driver Genius Program worked in backing up the Drivers or does the trial version limit you from this option?

Yes, has successfully backed up the drivers :)
