online flight Agencies with same ATOL

Hi

My boyfriend and I are trying to arrange a trip to Thailand for 18-21days in April 2011 (should include fishing). I was surfing the net today and came across a Benz/ Hoodaki- for flights- prices a different for the same flight but the agencies have the same ATOL and physical address. Went on review page for one and found a whole list of aliases for the same ATOL.

Surely, its one registration number per agency? This is supposed to be our first holiday together in five years and i really do not need it spoilt.

Any one know of cheap flight offer out to Thailand for April 2011

Would appreciate any suggestions.

many companies, travel and otherwise, operate different websites under different trading names, but are at the end of the day the same company.

If you check the ATOL number for Hoodaki the company name is Benz Travel Limited and they operate under a number of trading names.

If you check at Companies House you can see that Benz Travel Limited has been a registered company since 1991. Doesn't mean much on its own, but at least you can see it's not a company set up last week.

check Thai airs website. we got an excellent deal from them direct the other year - one way to NZ with a 3 week stop over in Thailand for 650. Food on board was excellent on both legs too

But if you are booking flight only then you are most unlikely to be covered?

Moonchild is indeed correct, as scheduled flight only (likewise Low Cost Carriers) are not covered by the ATOL system (Hence the reason Thomson flight only are now being changed over).

If booking online, ensure that there is what is called SAFI (Scheduled Airline Failure Insurance) or something similar included. The one issued by the companies we sell will provide a full refund if the airline goes bust before you travel out, and will also provide a replacement flight if they go bust whilst you are halfway through your holiday.

Just looking at quick dates, EK are offering approx £700.00pp incl taxes for april, and EVA air just a little bit cheaper (based on Heathrow depts)
