Panasonic DVD Recorder DMR-E65 help needed!

I have a Panasonic DMR E65 which can't seem to tune to BBC1. I only have terrestrial channels. I can't record BBC1 and need to put aerial into back of TV everytime I want to watch BBC1 clearly. All the other channels can be watched and recorded while the aerial is plugged into DVD recorder. It's a real pain as I can't watch BBC1 while recording programmes on other channels. Any advice appreciated. I'm a bit of a novice.

What does your recorder get when you try to tune to BBC1 - is it a snowy picture or what?

Enter your postcode into this site to find out what channels your terrestrial channels are broadcast on. Post back with the channel number for BBC1 i.e. BBC1 = XX.
It may be that this channel is clashing with the RF output.

With my panasonic dvd recorder you can choose which bbc1 position number you want to watch. In auto set up it chooses a position No for bbc1 but this is not always the correct one for the way your ariel is pointing. In the manual it tells you how to change this (Manual Tuning). I think I had a choice of 3 for bbc1.

I auto set mine and then manually changed bbc1 till I got the best picture.

If that doesn't work check out what espresso has suggested.
