I received my card in the post today - will report back next week on whether it works
  • This card is legit - I work for Network Rail, and the card was stuck to the front of the staff newsletter. It's valid for a year. Sadly I didn't work for BR so it's about the only benefit in my contract

As a rail commuter I hardly shop at New St, but the card was useful when I was on a training course at Euston last August. Shops accepted it without a blink.
  • I posted this over a week ago, still have not got my card though

Nice one, i work next to paddington station...
Small world - our office is just off Spring Street :) Sadly it's the wrong Pasty company for most London stations.
    Can I help?

Hmmm, just got the card this morning. Pity it's just a flimsy piece of card, with a large 'bite' taken out of one corner - it's gonna get tatty very quickly I suspect.

Ah - Compass, the people who (more or less) own/operate most of the railway food establishments anyway. Makes more sense now.
  • Thanks - great post and will save a fortune when travelling with children!:j

This is great. As a Virgin trains employee, travelling all over the country virtually everyday,(I feel like Birmingham New Street is my second home!) i'll be able to use it and save loads.
Because I work on the railway i'm supposed to get discount anyway, but only in certain outlets, and only if they remember! I'll be telling all my colleagues at work about this. We'll save thousands between us!:j

Same here with Birmingham! Whenever I travel home to wales, I ALWAYS end up waiting ages there, and it ends up getting expensieve eating either there or Euston, and Virgin Trains very rarely have the only sandwich I can eat avaliable, so I have to get food from one of the stations :/
