  • many thanks got kids at uni and in forces they are on trains loads got them one each. nice one
  • Nice one, i work next to paddington station... stupidly, people forget there's another burger king 30 seconds walk out the station that's about 25% cheaper.
  • Do you have to have a railcard to apply? I can't see anything about that in the T&Cs. Nor does it say anything about costing if you haven't? Do they check your address against the railcard records. Anyone applied without having a card?
  • Where is the "hot deals" site?
  • The site's just said I'm accepted. I entered the FM06 code, as given in the original post. No questions asked!
  • So, why does Martin say in today's moneysaving email that it's for Railcard holders? Is this a mistake? The confusion could have arisen because the bitecard is promoted on the Senior Railcard website.

I'm also a bit wary of the fact that there is no privacy policy or data protection statement on the website (bitecard.co.uk). They are collecting personal information (name and address) and say nothing about what it will be used for, e.g. will they use/sell addresses for marketing purposes? I think it's a requirement of the Data Protection Act that people are informed of various things, including the uses to which personal data will be put, when such data is collected. And there are no contact details whatsoever given, so I can't challenge them about this! Strangely unprofessional, for an otherwise professional-seeming scheme.
  • This is great. As a Virgin trains employee, travelling all over the country virtually everyday,(I feel like Birmingham New Street is my second home!) i'll be able to use it and save loads.
Because I work on the railway i'm supposed to get discount anyway, but only in certain outlets, and only if they remember! I'll be telling all my colleagues at work about this. We'll save thousands between us!:j
  • I'm worried about this too. No card/offer T&Cs, no indication of who runs the site.. is it legit? Last time I was in a railway Burger King they wouldn't take ANY discount vouchers of any sort so I can't believe they'd give 20% off - apparently for life - to anyone with one of these cards. It's an excellent offer if it's for real, though.
  • Thanks for the lovely tip!!!
