Hi there, im month 17 into my 18 month 02 contract which was 400 mins 1000 texts and 02 to 02 calls and picture and overseas texts comes out me text allowance £30 per month but 4 months ago we joined 02 family and 5 of us now share unlimited calls/text between the 5 of us so i no longer need 02 to 02, at the time I questioned swapping the bolt on to internet but was told it couldnt be done but today i log into 02 and it seems that i can swap my bolt on but is it a catch and will they take my mms/overseas text coming from my allowance away? Or are they going to do that anyway come upgrade time?

Any thoughts please?

Hi there

When you upgrade, you will lose your overseas texts. O2 are honouring any existing contracts but removing them at renewal.

To be honest, I'd use it as a bargaining tool. You are within 30 days of your renewal, so can begin the upgrade process. Phone O2 and see what they will offer you by way of a sweetner. You won't get an iPhone out of it, but you may get the HTC Desire! Just make sure you have the data bolt on.

Thanks I kind of thought that might happen and you have confirmed :beer: Do you think if i bought sim free and not upgraded would it still run? Im just looking at every option with the countdown being on:D Kind of holding off for the nokia N8 but we will see:D
