We always talk about having a date, but we both dont want to leave Lily.
We left her with her uncle when we had the scan and she cried for ages and even cried all the way home and i was with her.
DH thinks that the only thing we cant do with Lily is go to the cinema, which isn't that important so she can come with us on our 'dates'.
You could always have dates at home after Lily's gone to bed. Maybe set aside one evening a week or something to make sure that you definitely get to spend time together with just the two of you?

Speaking of hair dye, do you think I'm too old and responsible for fire engine red hair? I'd like to do something that frivolous but can't help wondering if 31 and someone's mum is too grown up for something like that.

There's a lady I often see around Durham who had pink hair until relatively recently. She looks about in her fifties or sixties and often has someone in her twenties with her who I presume is her daughter.

If you really want fire engine red hair then go for it. If you don't do it, you'll wish you had, if you do it and it's terrible you can look back and laugh about it.

  • My ex's mum used to have bright red hair...but she worked in the arts so it was 'acceptable; in her profession IYSWIM.

I think it would be an ace thing to do for your last day.

My only worry would be getting it back to a normal colour when you decided you had had enough. I went dark brown about 3 years ago and it took ages to grow out and then ages for me to dye it back to a suitably ditzy shade of blonde again ;):D

I used to have black and red striped hair... I'd still be doing it now but it took a lot of effort with the dying/bleaching/dying... We saw a girl on the bus the other day with red hair and Hubby turned round to me and said "I recon that would suit you..." I'd consider it... If I could be ar5ed...

Just had a driving lesson... Really need to sort out my left reverse... I'm not very good at it at all...

BM, did you ring the police? You can claim off your insurance then...

Tia, I really fancy some apple bread now I've seen that post... But my breadmaker is still missing the blade... I demand you make me some and bring it round!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

Perhaps I shall get myself some unusual hair... how exciting!

Bread in the breadmaker, most of the dishes done, lunch going slowly into the baby... all I have to do now is make myself something and we'll all be sorted. Husband made his own lunch and Molly ate more than half of it, so her actual lunch seems to be more a playtime than a mealtime. But I don't know what I want. I am still  that he deliberately woke me knowing that once I'm up I can't sleep any more.

If you want to do it, then do it. Who cares what anyone else thinks as long as you love it.

Someone told me when I was 30, that I should cut my hair off as "middle aged" women don't suit long hair. I'm 35 now and still have long hair as I love it.

We went to the station and saw the train my parents are on. Luckily we were on the right side of the platform and their window faced us as they passed so we waved to each other :D

My bra wire came out and was digging in me. My sewing box is in the utility room so I took it off so I could mend it. Charlotte came in and was really cross with me and said in a telling off voice, "Mam! You can't get your nipples out in the utility room" :rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....

Becles if 30 is middle aged I'm going to start crying into my keyboard :rotfl:

I'm glad you got to see your parents passing but :rotfl: at Charlotte. I find though that once the underwire's had a taste of freedom there's no keeping it in after that, even sewing it up it'll just find a way out.
