We also have National Trust Membership

There's English Heritage too and you can pay for that one with Tesco Clubcard vouchers.

I'm a member of both and all the children get in for free with one adult membership. We've certainly had our money worth over the summer holidays.

    Congrats EA - that's lovely news :j

I'm pricing up holidays for half term week.

I'm quite shocked that i've found 7 nights all inclusive in Turkey, Majorca, Canaries and Mainland Spain for cheaper than 5 nights in Centre Parcs!

I've found that before! We were going to go Centreparcs when I was a single parent as I thought it would be a cheap break, but we ended up going AI to Majorca as that worked out much cheaper!

I've been to both Majorca and Menorca in October when the boys were babies and both were lovely. Just like a warm sunny day rather than baking hot, but cooler on a night so you needed a cardy or jacket on.

Turkey is a bit warmer but not stupidly hot. It's usually still warm enough to go without a jacket on an evening, but take one just in case!

    Jake looks cute JM.

Got my last assignment back from uni. I've passed all the coursework with a Grade 2. Just the exam to go now.
Here I go again on my own....

Oh, got a letter from Rhys' consultant (the general one up here, who seems to take three times as long to confirm anything in writing than the renal one does!).. Says "Impression: 1. Progressing, 2. Doing better than expect neurodevelopmentally" :D She's changed the description of "Issues" that always appears at the top... Easier terms to Google now! ;)

Anyone know, how do I get to see the notes from the first few hours/days of Rhys' life? I don't want/need the emotional talk through from a midwife, I just want to know a bit more about what happened at the birth and find out who was there etc.. Do I write to someone and they photocopy the notes and send them back?

Sorry Sami, I read and ran yesterday lol... I'll have another look when you've updated later and see if there's anything I can add... But some very clever people have worded things a lot better than I ever could lol...

That's good news Becles, I'm sure you did brilliantly in the exam :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    elle, http://www.pals.nhs.uk/

You are by law, entitled to view them for free and take hand written notes. So call up your pals who will tell you where to write too for an appointment. Probably it will be at the records storage place (that was my old mat hospital). And I think the appointment has to be 30mins? But not sure. Basically you will be sat in a room with his records and left to 28rea

I have a stool Susan. Infact there is 4 things and the dining table chairs she could use, so really 8.

2 plastic chairs from her desk and chair set, one proper pink stool that matched her totally awesome child's leather rocking chair that idris broke by using it as a gaming chair, and a yellow plastic stool thats in the bathroom for her to use to see over the sink.

She has bundles of choice, but that's just her for ya!

It is so windy here, like gale force. Keira was getting pulled away by the wind so I had to have a really tight grip, It was like tug of war with her little arm.

On the way back, I was coming from the opposite direction and found myself running on the spot to try and get into the building it was THAT windy.

Then some junkies were coming out as I was going in and one said "You a bit wet?" I said "Yes" and the guy said "I bet your boyfriend won't have regrets about that!" *cue laughing"

    FNAAAAAAAAAAAR so funny.

I need to go shopping too BM but cba. I just raided the fridge for Amber's lunch and she ended up with a right concoction.

She had pear, tomato, plum (all of which are past their best haha:o) breadsticks, mackerel, toast (she stole mine :(), cheese...... and probably more junk i threw in her general direction. She ate all this while sat on the cooker.

Now that she can crawl super fast (commando style) i'm trying to teach her that launching herself out of the back door is not a good idea. Well she did it anyway because i blinked and missed it, and now she has a little graze on her chin and she had mud on her shoulder from the wetness outside.

I did laugh though cos she was practically doing a handstand :rotfl: (i am evil :p)

Have you seen the state of my child?? Minger!! She was perfectly clean an hour ago...

What is this free books malarky everyone keeps going on about? If you can't post it, then please PM me! *puppy eyes*

I remembered the other thing...gave Finn some fromage frais for the first time today - you'd think it was birthday and Christmas all rolled into one the way he was soooo excited. (there's a joke in there somewhere :p)

eta: People who have taken car seats as luggage on an airplane...do I need to wrap it up or do something special? We need to bring the car seat with us to Scotland this weekend and just wondering if I need to assemble a box for it or something. It'll be checked baggage.
