I thought an old lady was dead yesterday. Her little motorised wheelchair thing was stopped in the middle of the street and she was bent over the bars really still.
So i walked over and she was texting someone! :rotfl:0 -
EA It's faint on the screen, but it's definately there. :jOooh, how was he about it? I have never seen a dead body, but someone died in a hotel room when i was at work and no one answered when i knocked so left his room service outside
That wing stunk for ages aswell _pale_
He's ok about it, he's a bit of a sicko anyway. I think it was better for him that they were both in their 80's and natural causes I think - so not so much of a shocker iykwim.
In training they took them to see a body, and it was a teenage girl from a car crash - I suppose they got the worst bit over with first.:beer:0 -

I have a ton of them and it seems a waste to throw them out
Make jam or chutney and use them for little presents. I made blackberry jam yesterday with free blackberries and it is nom! I'm planning to make chilli jam today.
:jEA- [STRIKE]pic please![/STRIKE] I'm too slow. Defo a faint line there :j.
3- I think they do get used to it, and if the body is fairly 'fresh' it's not too bad. If it's been there a while I think it is pretty bad. My hubby was first at the scene of this http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/hampshire/8589032.stm

And he kept saying no as he had Lily on his lap.
So i was like "Bring Lily then!!" :rotfl:
We didn't hug or anything though, for a strange reason im not as excited as i was when pregnant with Lily..:(

That must have been horrific!
I suppose eventually it must just become a normal part of the job! Another reason I couldn't do it.
I think he was quite worried that his first one was going to be someone who'd been lying dead in their house for a month undetected until the neighbours started to complain about smell/flys! At least his first were still fresh!:beer:0 -
