Go speak to your pharmacist EA. They may be able to give you something OTC.

Does the cream soften if you put the tube in some hot water (test it before you put it in her eye though)? Or just play with it with warm hands?

I've been making it softer by sitting on it :o

But the consistency is very thick so its still rubbish.
Could you squeeze the cream onto some cotton wool and wipe it over her eye?

Caitlyn got an eye infection and got some drops but I really didn't want to use them so I upped the number of times I was cleaning it with cooled boiled water and it cleared up on it's own in a couple of days...

Nope, the instructions say it needs to be be squeezed into the eye in a line, its not to touch the eyeball only the skin inside.

When you squeeze it, it often curls and wont go in a straight line.

I have been cleaning it though and have seen some improvement.

I didn't know you could get stuff OTC, if its no better tomorrow i will go to boots :D
    Thanks everyone :)

EA, that sounds like the stuff OH gets given whenever he's had bits of metal in his eyes. It is such a pain to put on OH, I can't imagine trying to wrestle a baby!

CAFC, glad to hear you've been enjoying the pram, your parents and cooking.

CAFC cooking is relaxation for me when I can potter and it's not about getting food on the table. Sounds like you've had a lovely few days.

Ours is so busy, we have to wait for appointments unless its something very urgent. Like a rash.

Im going to have a mini rant.

For Lilys eye infection they have given us a cream that we have to put inside her eye lid at the bottom. But the cream is the same thickness as Lanisoh and hardly comes out of the tube.

How the hell am i meant to hold a baby down, keep her head still and her eye open whilst i put it in

What were they thinking! Eye drops would of been so much better.
Wait until she's asleep ;) I found that worked with Edgar, the cream we got was thick but wasn't as thick as lansinoh tho, have you checked the date on it just in case

EA - an eye infection is urgent. Especially if it's a baby. They should give you one of the same-day appointments, no prob.

I use a spare nurofen syringe, again I find he'll take it in his sleep best, my child does NOT like taking medicine of any kind!!:p

*Whispers* Anyone wanting one of those highchairs we all recommend that come from the shop with the meatballs might want to check the stock of blue ones at their local store nudge nudge ;);) Guess where we are going tomorrow!
