E is a 2 and 1/2 shoe width G in clarks is that just their measurements? or can I get him shoes from other shops that size?
The measurement is just a guide as to where they need to start fitting. Once you pick a shoe, they might have to go up or down a size or width depending on the shape of his foot and the way he walks or the style might be completely unsuitable and you'll have to pick something else.
If you buy elsewhere, make sure the shoe is fitting properly. Press the fronts to make sure there is plenty of growing room and his toes are not squashed.
Feel round the sides and push your thumb over the tops of the shoes to make sure they are not tight and digging in, or they're not gaping and have too much movement in the leather. If the leather rolls with your thumb it will crease and dig into his foot.
Sit him down and pull on the heel of the shoe. It should stay firmly gripped with no movement.
Finally get him to walk around and make sure the shoe isn't slipping or gaping and he can walk comfortably.
My Mam was a Clarks fitter and she taught me what to look for. With mine, I always get their main shoes fitted but I do fit other shoes like trainers and sandles myself.
Charlotte didn't get proper shoes until she wanted to walk outside. Shoes are expensive, and I'd just keep him in soft shoes/booties etc., until he wants to walk outside.
Charlotte lost teddy again this evening (a regular occurance to delay bed time I think!) Anyway we all searched the house and he was eventually found perched on the curtain rail in the dining room. That's a new hiding place and I've no idea how she managed to get him up there! Here I go again on my own....0 -

At Charlottes new hiding place! :rotfl: The things they do to delay bedtime. Do they not realise that when they're knackered grown ups they'll be begging for bedtime to come soon.
Goodnight smelly MDW. :rotfl: It's easy to say, but try and put work to the back of your mind tomorrow and have a nice relaxing day. xxx
I have a dilema!
My boy has sneeked (or snuck?) downstairs after L went to bed for a very rare cuddle with Mum. He's sat with me on the sofa with the snuggly blanket on us, and now he's fell asleep! There is no way I carrying his big lumpiness up to bed, he'll strop if I wake him, and I don't want to leave him down here on his own!:beer:0 -
3 .. if you wake him and hes grumpy will he still go back to sleep in bed? .. if not id just settle in for a night on the sofa x

I could quite happily do that, but V could be up toddling around the room at any point, and OH isn't in til after 6.
I'll try the cuddly walk up the stairs in a bit, it'll be like humping a dead weight up the stairs. :rotfl::beer:0 -
Thanks Ales and Smartie
Ales; i try to send Theo to sleep during the day and he will not go to sleep. Somedays he sleeps better than others, but he does sleep well at night; 11pm until 6am. Then sleeps until 10am. He has slept like a log today!
He has been smiling on and off for about 2 weeks, and tonight he was smiling soo muchIt brought tears to my eyes! But can I catch it on my carppy camera.. no chance!!
