Yes, the first chills are starting now, but we're still a fair bit warmer than you. From late November through to mid/late March though we'll only get above freezing for an hour around midday - if we do at all, and we'll probably end up with banks of snow. We're due a nasty winter too, say the meteorologists, and the last one was fairly mild (never more than 12cm of snow in a day).

I never knew you got colder over there, I wonder if we are in for a colder winter? We do seem to have had a warmer summer.

Redstar, that's fab news about your offer being accepted.

SS, your present finding skills are awesome.

Sorry to butt in without catching up, will in a bit when Maddy sleeps but I need some help, I've volunteered to get the pressies for our Xmas Fete for the Santas Grotto so need them to look like a £2 ish gift but as cheap as possible, any ideas on websites, a clearance thing or something. I used to know a couple but can't remember. One used to do 2 for a pound, that sort of thing. Thanks, back in a bit. XXX

How about this to divide up? http://www.booksdirectbargains.co.uk/detail.php?productid=ST0011131&proddesc=Activity+Collection+-+Deal+of+the+Week&supercategory=CAT00263&branch=&wcategory=CAT00263&catdesc=&super=0200CAT00263&treecode=TRE00003

And this looks much more expensive than it is http://www.booksdirectbargains.co.uk/detail.php?productid=ST0001259&proddesc=Charlie+and+Lola:+Say+Cheese!&supercategory=BRN00015&branch=&wcategory=CAT00212&catdesc=&super=0030BRN00015~0020CAT00212&treecode=TRE00003

That's why Gluhwein's so popular ;) People do their shopping and then warm up with heavily spiced and spiked punch.

Edit: Tara, what about 49p crayons? Or split these up?

We're warmer because of the gulf stream (hope I've got that right). I remember going to Berlin in February and it was properly biting cold.

    Tara, try Hawkins Bazaar too.

Thanks Sami. I think Moon dough may be one for next year. Alex too young and will Joe at 7 be too old?

Chris's retro trike is fab. Very cool.
yeah i think Joe is too old for it probably
Because it was only ever played on those Euro chart type programs that came on about 3am, once television started running through the night. I was an insomniac for most of my teen years. Theres no way it would ever have been allowed on top of the pops. And there WM goes again, showing her age........
now you've got my thinking about Eurotrash :rotfl:when i watched that most of it went straight over my head :o
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.
