    I can't stop crying.

I got my crown fitted today and it's so so so ugly. So so so obvious. I got a metal crown because I can't afford the £600 they charge for a white one, and as it's a molar, it's not valid for white on the NHS. But when I smile, you can see it straight away, and it's so polished and shiny, so even smiling, all you see is the tooth sparkling away, it looks insanely BAD.

Why is it so shiny :( I can't stop fretting over it. I feel like a pirate.
  • Hugs BM.

I'm fingers crossed for next week, I'll see how my meeting with this HR Consultant goes tomorrow and if she can effect change I'll get my issues sorted which will include adding a day to my leave which I will then use for Monkey Forest.

  • BM - as it settles in your mouth I am sure it will be less noticable. Give it a few months and then reassess - if you need to you can have it (and the tooth) out xx

MDW - one of the kids in the outfits you linked too reminds me of Katie - the one in the giraffe costume.

Erm, I doubt they'd even look at me as I'm over-qualified and not sure it would really be worth it as the hourly rates are minimal over the rate of a CM!
Welcome to my world! When you actually are skint though and rely on that £1-2 a hour you get to keep after CM fees you have to put up with it!

Aww I'm sorry you hate it. It is better than having a big old gap in your teeth though, and better than the pain you'd get if you'd just left it xx

  • Sorry about your crown BM. X

And lots of hugs for CAFC, it sounds like youre having a !!!!!! time at the moment. I do think you need to speak to your HV though.

Cant remember anything else even though I have read it all.

MY flippppppin FLAPTOP is being mental- lots of grinding then squeaking noises coming from the hard drive. I think I better store all my files on a separate disk as its not sounding too good. The internet is playing up too- still cant send messages on ebay (thanks to those who tried). :( I will cry lots if it decides to die.

Been out with my cousin all day, her daughter is 5 weeks older than A so its lovely to compare. She is also a teacher too! So I cant talk about inane school stuff and she wont get bored!

The fairies came today- thank you very much Gill. :)

I realllllllllllllllllllllllllllly want to get A a jumperoo! (stomps feet in a tantrum) Anyone selling one or know anyone who is selling one?! :)

emlou - hope you didn't think I was looking down my nose at retail or anything, was just trying to convey that it's something I'd have to be desperate to do as it comes out as almost not worth it! (at least at normal level...management is at least half-decent) sorry you're having trouble too :(
