Bruno, when is Miss Bruno due?
Pressed multiquote this morning but didn't follow through
10th December. So still a fair while to go which is concerning as she is already pretty much struggling!got-it-spend-it wrote: »Hugs to you Bruno, I hope the weekend gives some respite. Do you have any parent friends/ family who might be able to watch E for a couple of hours while you have some down time and go for a coffee or have a nap or something? How long is your FIL staying? Is he visiting from the states? Does OH have any family who will be able to come and help with E when she is even more heavily pregnant? Or is that the purpose of FIL's visit? Sorry for all the questions
.
I have a work rant for later, but can't be arsed to type it al out at the moment :rotfl:.
Thanks GISI and others - my mum can occasionally babysit but it's at least 90 mins on public transport for her to get her and she uses a walking stick, etc. No other options yet really. Weekends are not usually a lot of respite for me!, they are my time to get things done e.g. clearing spare room, while taking E a lot more to give OH breaks. I may abandon them and go to a friend's 30th on Sat night if they're both doing OK, though.
FIL is in the UK for 3 weeks, and plans to visit Ireland for up to a week somewhere in the middle, with us the rest of the time. His friend is "probably only here for a few days" but we dunno. He is coming from California (by way of Thailand where OH's uncle lives!), so not a quick and easy journey. She will indeed get some respite while he's here, but that'll be it after that, no other family who are remotely likely to come over. Can't really blame them at 5000 miles and expensive flights etc.
Looking forward to reading your work rant

Bruno, could budget allow for a child minder one afternoon a week for a while? It's not much but it might just be enough...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I may get another set of mr croc as they make such a nice prezzie but I just wondered if anyone who's ordered books could recommend any?Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Was just popping on quickly to say how lovely it was to see 3 and her two lovely girls today:D
I have thanked Susan's post and want to offer some big hugs...I also agree that it is terrible to be sent into a public waiting room.....the same happened to me, once after my first miscarriage and once after my 20wk scan with ds2, where they told me there could be a major problem, I had to wait for a consultant but I was crying so much dh took me outside to wait instead.
Just waiting for dh to get back with supplies then we are going to have a curry:D Although t is being a pain in the backside and not going to sleep.....to be fair she does seem to be a little blocked/has a little cough:(

Gill, I prefer to read longer books at night (grufalo length) cos I get bored easily. Some of the chapter books are good too, makes me look forward to story time
