  • afternoon,

hugs an yays all round as required, i have read up but brain is mushed today.

can't remember who it was (sorry) but having work ripped out of a book is awful, fair enough being told for work not done but think that was crossing the line for me.

am feeling slightly better, went to docs who sent me to hospital for uti, the wanted to keep me in (again) but couldn't go on maternity ward so couldn't take lo in with me which when shes 3 weeks old and feeding ever 3 hrs i decided was rediculous and refused to stay!

we have done a lot better with feeding today and have found a bf group to go to tomorrow morning so will go check that out

    xx

Are you not allowed to have the baby on a normal ward Becky? When I was booked in for a tonsilectomy and I told them I was breastfeeding, the ward nurse asked why I didn't have the baby with me... I said she was 2 1/2 she could cope without me for one night... But if she'd have been younger she could have stayed with me...

Did you get anti-Bs for the UTI? Hope you're feeling better soon!! And well done for finding the BF group, they're a great place for real life support (as opposed to this not real life support forum ;))

I've just had a bit of a freaky moment... Bumped into one of the other Mums from the newborn group that we used to go to and we got chatting and she was asking me about the pregnancy the maternity unit etc She's a phlebotomist and works in the new antenatal bit... I mentioned I still hadn't had any blood taken and she randomly offered to come to the house and do it for me... Anyone else think that's a bit wierd?!

And also, my friend with a baby the same age as Caitlyn just gave me a huuuuuuuuge bag of 9-12 stuff (her baby is in 18-24 lol!) and it's all next, gap and designer at debenhams!!!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

nope, no children under 12 allowed at all, something to do with cross infection, and made no difference to me bf as said it would disrupt other patients having a crying baby on the ward, told them to call me if they changed their minds!! have antibiotics but first lot couldn't take while feeding so had to go back and get a different prescription, think they must of been having numpty day!!

Krystal, yeah that is weird. :money:for the bag of clothes though!

SM, that is pretty disgraceful behaviour on the part of the teacher. It's not really setting a great example for the children is it?

Becky, excellent news for finding a group, I hope it goes well for you. for not letting you take bubs in with you though. Hope you start to feel better soon.

SM- that is awful. how is Zoe meant to learn from that?

did the teacher mean she couldnt play out at breaktime? used to do that in my primary school
