Hijack This Help

I keep getting redirected in google when clicking on links. Tried all the other info but have had to resort to this.

I'll post malware log in next post.

No clue what to do next!

I've done most of this. However, when I get to run HostsXpert I get the following message:

"Your HOSTS file is marked as a "system file" and can NOT be manipulated. Press OK to remove the system file attribute, CANCEL to QUIT. ***HostsXpert will not reset these attributes***"

When I click OK it lets me click the Restore button, but then I get this message:

    "Error. Cannot create file c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts"

    Am I being a numpty?:(

Is it a windows message that comes up, or some program? Teatimers definitely turned off?

    Try this ~
Whilst pressing the SHIFT key, RIGHT CLICK the hosts.exe file and select RUN AS (Admin)

The 1st message comes up when I double click to open the File Handling list.

2nd message comes up when I click the Restore button.

    Yes, teatimer is switched off.

Was I supposed to run spyboy again once I had done this!? I haven't yet.
