I am a company director, my company name begins with i and my surname a P.
Seems an unhealthy % of us on here are company LTD company directors?
Let's try debtfree - my surname begins with L and I am NOT a Ltd company director.
  • Hi guys,

I'm still here, watching what's going on.

Just for the record, I haven't received a 2nd letter, and I'm a Ltd company director.

I've never been a company director.

I think it's far more likely that someone somewhere has hacked into a weakly protected database and stolen all our details from there. Or a dodgy employee has sold on a database from somewhere they work.

There could be a connection here for some. I'm a company director and for £1 name/address and DOB is available from Companies House.

Agree, I think Companies House is the source. Much of this info is freely available. As it my Car registration number - you only need to look at it......

Point is, with this simple information, you should not be able to generate so much hassle. If MCO are legit - and I'm leaning towards this, they do deserve all they get.....
  • CH was the only place I could find all the details they had. But you are right it could be some dodgy site having been hacked. Maybe we all bought from them.
  • Having said that I think I would back away from any site that asked me my DOB for a purchase

I too will not divulge my DoB on anything unless the other party can convince me that it is essential (goodness knows for what though!!).
