Unfortunately as a new poster I find I can't post a link through the message board on the Sunday Times article. It can, however, be found if you use james silver's link.0 -
Here here Jahman, well said. Glad to here it wasnt a stroke in the end.
I was going to type up a reply to this mysterious Robie but never got round to it over the weekend. What I will say is what does he expect people's reaction would be on a forum such as this towards a company, who has been cavalier with its loan practices. That has allowed fraudsters to use our personal information to obtain money.
Does he expect us to say "there there MCO, its all right, sorry to hear you have been conned. It doesnt matter to us that you have been sending out letters to unsuspecting people and threatening them with court action/bailiff's before you had even checked out the details of who you were sending money too".
Our views dont make us righteous but when people on here have found out just how lax the MCO company has been running its business, its not surprising frustrations have been vented here. And to be honest statements made on here have been done so with a lot of composure.
I think your arguments on this forum would hold more weight if you were a fellow victim of this scandal Robie. So far they seem more like those of an MCO employee.0 -
Hi Jahman
Good news re your father - that must be a big relief.
I sent my email off to the Home Office at the weekend - now the waiting game begins!!:cool:0 -
Thanks for your contributions, Robie - much appreciated. Silver's article was eventually found on page 3 of the Money section of the Sunday Times - according to James it was cut from 1000 words to 350 and it didn't really add anything. He's trying for a more insightful article in the Mail or the Times this week!
This is all very interesting, as we now see the figure of "9,000 loans" appearing in various statements. So this "naive" company, which has previous form in Estonia, and various other European countries, has dropped at least £ 2,700,000 to fraudsters, and only noticed something was amiss at that point? No company is naive enough to fail to notice radical changes in trading patterns, and one would assume several thousand protests/denials would also hint at a little teensy problem? They continue trading, on the same basis, to date? Oh yes, with no capital, and no valid license it would seem.
9,000 may also be an understatement, judging by the number of forums that have respondents mentioning relatives, and neighbours with demands from Helploan.
It's simply not credible.
Maybe Robie should change his forum name to "Sherry of Nutting Ham" ;-)0 -
Should anyone have missed the BBC4 Moneybox programme on Saturday here is the url:

The item on MCO/Helploan starts around the 7 minute mark - just after the pensions item.0 -

Just listened to Adrian Kibler! Who is this joker? No mention was made of his position with the company although apparently he was speaking on behalf of Helploan and MCO Capital. He repeats the canard by Robie Nudd that no one but poor, poor MCO Capital have lost money in this fraud. Complete rubbish! I have spent money on phone calls, £2 on an Experian credit check and £5.05 on a special delivery letter to Intrum Justitia not to mention the value of my wasted time.
He also has the gall to blame the real victims of this fraud for ignoring letters stating that that is why they have continued to receive demands. Again, complete rubbish! I emailed the email address on the Helploan website THE DAY my father received his first letter. It was Helploan that ignored that communication. That wasn't my fault or my father's fault.
Having listened to that oaf my blood is boiling and I've decided that I will contact my father's solicitor and see if he will write to MCO Capital on his behalf threatening legal action should they refuse to refund our out-of-pocket expenses and reasonable compensation for the distress caused.
Cheers,

Hello and thanks to all contributing to this massive thread. I signed up to say how good I've found all the info and general support - special thanks to those who've been really active here.
I've joined in with sending emails to Home Office and my MP since I think politicians take notice when a fair number of people seem concerned. (My MP responded very fast saying he would take it up with the Chancellor and get back to me.)Just listened to Adrian Kibler! Who is this joker?
Did some googling -- and I think Kibbler has a PR agency called akpr.0 -

He can be found on

Unfortunately the above url won't copy (never mind paste) - you need to substitute "websitehome" ".co" ".uk" without the inverted commas and no spaces for the row of exclamation marks - I have no idea why!!!! Or just type akpr into google0 -

My guess he's with EBS in Warwick ... see www.ebs.ltd.uk . I think that office location has been mentioned on this forum before as something to do with MCO. I assume they are fronting for MCO in the UK :-
"European Business Solutions was founded in 1991 and has been providing establishment and ongoing business support services to foreign owned companies setting up and operating in the United Kingdom.
At EBS we understand the particular and specific needs of this sector as we work only with foreign owned businesses, and our experience is both wide-ranging and extensive.
EBS has helped to establish subsidiaries of many types of businesses in the UK market, from small family owned companies to members of publicly quoted groups. The issues that these businesses face when setting up in a new market are very similar, and yet they are all different. At EBS we treat each client as an individual case, each with their individual needs and individual solutions.
EBS services cover the whole of England, Great Britain and the United Kingdom."
Adrian Kibbler also runs his own PR company it seems (in Birmingham). Put 'akpr' into Google to find the website - the link won't work.
Probably nothing unusual in that kind of arrangement, but it does imply that MCO don't have any human beings in the UK prepared to go in front of a microphone (or have any at all).0 -

Fine detective work Alan - we can even find a picture of Adrian at
http://www.ebs.ltd.uk/our-staff/. You are correct that their address is the same one as we were given some time ago for MCO in Warwick - right down to the postcode.
Have a look at their seminars:
September 23rd – Mikkeli in partnership with Nordea
September 28th – Malmö in partnership with the South Sweden Chamber of Commerce and Skänes Provinsbank
October 11th – Oslo at the British Ambassadors’ Residence with Advantage West Midlands
October 12th – Copenhagen at the British Ambassadors’ Residence with Advantage West Midlands
October 13th – Stockholm at the British Ambassadors’ Residence with Advantage West Midlands
October 14th – Helsinki at the British Ambassadors’ Residence with Advantage West Midlands
October 19th – Rovaniemi with Nordea
October 20th – Mariehamn with Nordea
Strong Scandinavian bias and helped by the UK government??? No doubt that's how they found MCO
So, Adrian no doubt has a copy of the letter which I wrote to that address some time ago!!!. So now we know that MCO has no own staff at Imperial House (only their lawyers), London and are likely not to have any own staff at Warwick (only ebs). That leaves only Bressenden Place, London - what could be there, I wonder? Is anyone aware of this address having been checked out?0
