If you travel earlier in the month you can get it down to 870 Euro. I said it wasn't cheap, great hotel though, we had the room with the balcony overlooking the Pantheon:D
I'd prefer a double-room + balcony at the Mutmee in Nong Khai, overlooking the mighty Meekong for a tenner a night. Or for the tidy sum of about £40, a room + balcony in a boutique hotel overlooking the Chao Phraya.
If I paid silly money for a hotel room, then I wouldn't want to leave it! Fortunately I don't have that worry:D.0 -
