If I remove the tool bars like you suggested will I loose all my Favorites but if I download Google toolbars I have it saved to desktop I am thinking that I might remove all or part of the google. Am i correct in thinking this?

Why don't you just disable progs with ccleaner ,as advised, rather then permanently stoping them with hijackthis, -see how it goes. With ccleaner it's all easily reversed.

Yes i did but rik said to remove toolbars and install google so now i am trying to remove the toolbars without partially removing google and loosing my Favorites

Yes. Pay the full price for Revo Uninstaller Pro and have it running in the background before & during each and every install. In most [ but not all ] cases Revo Pro can find all traces of lagacy installs / uninstalls and remove residual folders etc.

In the scheme of things there is little benefit to you of getting rid of what you call "" odd little folders "", they will primarily be empty vessels taking up no space whatsoever.

The other way is to browse your \program files\folders and delete what you know is not needed - but you had better be 100% correct before you hit the delete button.

If you mean google bookmarks which are saved online. Even if you completely removed it, when you sign back in theyll still all be there
