Oh yes Bun I know they will bicker and I knew there would be issues...they will resolve over time and the readjustment will happen slowly. I think OH forgets that only 6 months ago they didn't even know me and now they are living with me..the same goes for B with him but she just adores him and he is her male role model consideing lack of contact with her dad.
I haven't bought new uniform because its likely to all change...she can wear summer dresses back but she now has to wear white shirts instead of polo shirts and I need to buy a tie !!!!!!. Oh well she has new shoes that will do for now lolI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

morning all.
Happy birthday Snaggles and Pania, hope you are both having lovely weekends xx
Sally - I think there will be period of adjustment for the children, it's to be expected. They will be fine given time to get to know each other and understand that they are equally loved by you and R.
Pooky - I love watching Man V Food. It's just mad the amount of food some of those places serve............but it always looks so  (especially after 13 weeks of shakes, soups and bars!! :rotfl: )
Bit grey and miserable here.
My ex has asked if I will go for a drive with him to look at the outside of a house he may rent after his house sells. I am more settled in my mind about it all now although when he leaves I am sure I will have more tears in private (not because I want to get back with him, not at all - it's about the memories of the place being the first house I bought etc even though it's over 6 years since I moved out!). I am happier though that he doesn't see it as the end of the road for him - he's a bit of a fatalist, glass half empty kind of person. However, he sees it as a chance to be debt free (about 30k worth) and after paying off the mortgage, the debt, the moving fees he will have around £35-40k to put away. He wants to rent somewhere rural and so all he will need income wise is rent, CT, utilities, petrol, food.
He was a bit set on living on the edge of Poole which is still expensive, as he's found a few part time jobs and didn't want to lose them, but as I said - you can move to North or West Dorset where it's cheaper and then find a job (any job really) which will be the same income as the part time work you have because the income you need now will be so much smaller than needing a really well paid job. He hadn't thought of it that way, so has asked if I will go with him to have a drive past this place today

Not quite sure how I'll get there to see Charlie though! However, it's important that he is happy with his decisions and we can work round me seeing Charlie wherever he chooses to move to.

Morning everybody and Happy Birthday to Snaggs.
Had a fantastic night last night. It was the centenary dinner for Girlguiding Leicestershire's Leaders. We had champagne reception, a lovely meal with wine, an after dinner speaker and disco all in wonderful surroundings.
It was lovely to be waited on but odd seeing people out of uniform and not having to clear up afterwards.
I came aware with a lovely bouquet of flowers as a thank you for doing all the bookings for the events over the last year.
Hope the situation with the children is better today Sally - keep smiling.
Off to paint fences now.0 -
Oh, that cottage is beautiful... That's the sort of place I would want to live, but am never going to be able to afford... Tell him he can't have it because I want it! x0

it is nice, isn't it . It really is in the middle of nowhere. It's on the top of the cliffs before going to Swanage. There is a bus route from Poole though that goes through there, so I could easily hop on it to see Charlie and take him out for his walks. There's still a long time to go though and he has some others he likes so it may not be that one (and obviously the landlord will need to be ok about pets).
I'm quite bizarrely envious of him in a weird way.

Happy Birthday Snaggs and Pania
That cottage is beautiful BB, not bad for fully furnished either.
Sorry to hear about the children bickering Sally, I am sure they will settle down soon xBut these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
it's really well priced Lou. A similar place on the edges of Poole would have an extra couple of hundred stuck on it, easily.

Our weather said a morning shower which is why I insisted on doing the car painting yesterday. I'm so glad I did as the weather looks bad all week
