  • Hello

The nearest store to me that stocks a good range of toys is London Colney, which is a 24 hour store. I have seen from other posts that some stores are opening at 6am. Do you think this would be the best time to get to a 24 hour store - hope that makes sense - guessing all the tills would go half price at the same time not at midnight????????? - don't fancy loitering around suspiciously for 6 hours :rotfl:

I made my DH loiter around for hours last year in Tesco's at some ungodly hour waiting for them to unpack their cages with hamsters on! :rotfl:God bless him. He said he quite enjoyed it, got to look at all the gadgets and chatted to the staff - I think they thought he was a loon!

Hehe!! Thats an idea perhaps I should get my DH to loiter he's good at that...:)...but there's a danger of him being too interested in gadgets and missing the main event - or worse getting all the wrong toys...no its not worth the risk... but I must say what a wonderful DH you have thats above and beyond :T

Going back and having a look the Sale has always started on a thursday.

    22.11.2007
    06.11.2008
    29.10.2009

Im thinking its unlikely it is tomorrow, unless Sainsburys are changing the day this year!?
BUT..........That isnt going to stop me sitting up til 12am to see if my basket magically changes to half price :p.

Im glad it is changed to Oct as gives me more time to spread out the cost for other presents in Nov and Dec but why half term , silly people who thought of that!!!
  • I cant handle 7 am starts for a bargain! Simply bought the toys today go back thursday acting like I didnt know about the sale :)refund the toys and re buy at half price....SIMPLES X

It's definitely Thursday, I acted as if I didn't know about it today & said to someone on that department "there's a lot of toys in the warehouse" & he replied "there's a big toy sale starting Thursday"
