Has anyone been to Crawley's West Green store? If so was it any good?

I went back into East Grinstead one earlier to do food shop & there were extra toys out then - lots of the massive RC Land Rovers, different Halo things, big Disney cuddly toys and a few Matchbox little cars. Only got a couple of the little cars for 59p each. Will look again in case they get different stock tomorrow!

I am really sad that it wasn't online, I don't drive and my mum is away so no one to look after the kids if I went to a bigger store on the bus. I know no one has a right to expect stuff half price, but this is the first year my kids have really asked for specific things (and actually wanted them for more than 5mins!!) and I'd just love to be able to get them what they want.

I have no idea how my parents used to do it, but even when we had no money when I was little, Christmas was never obviously affected by it (they kept it well hidden if it was) - I'd write a list for Father Christmas and ask for a couple of things and they would always be there on Christmas morning. I wasn't a spoilt brat or anything but it was always really magical! DH never really got what he asked for and he doesn't really understand why I'm so desperate to do it for our kids.

Kids grow up so quickly these days, I'm sure i'm not alone in wanting to keep them believing in Father Christmas as long as I can :o

no one is saying anything about kids believing in father christmas b..thats a parents job to perhaps suggest father christmas does not have an endless budget and they may not get what they ask for ( and no i am not telling anyone how to parent either before anyone starts on that one).

has anyone who has complained on here and on the sainsburys website stopped to think that Mr Sainsbury may just think "due to complaints we wont do this ever again, after all no other supermarket has done it so why should we if all the thanks we get is complaints that we haven't done it online or we didnt stock what you wanted" .
they could stock the normal amount of toys for a FOOD supermarket (not a toy shop) and still sell most of them in the run up to christmas. just a thought!!
if you did get a bargin and are happy with that (yes i am one of those and no i'm a normal hard working mum who doesnt have loads of money etc etc) well done!

Which is the best store to go to in norfolk or just outside? I have been trying to find barbie horse and carriage and tinkerbell playsets but I am having no luck. We could do with a big 24 hour store here!

    Thanks in advance.

Having only been offered a 1p saving at midnight last night when the prices refreshed! I went to the Watchmoor Park (Camberley) store for 7am this morning.

About 30 people waiting, lots of stock and was fairly civilised but very difficult to move for all the trolleys.

Got a few bits and pieces.

Then on way to work stopped off at Farnborough (Hants) new store. Wow what a difference! It was absolutely deserted and to be honest had much more stock on the whole.

    Bought some transfomer toys
    Connect 4
    Guess who
    Frustration
Die cast "cars" (from the film)
    Chairs game
    various other bits and pieces.

Was after the nerf Maverick guns (£8.99 on Sains website - £1 off) but all they had was the much bigger nerf guns.

However having checked the internet tonight, Argos are doing a deal on them got 3 guns for £19.98 so £6.66 each so well happy

LOL i was at watchmoor at 7am today too!!!! :D
I can only please one person a day.... Today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either!!
very greatful for almost everything i read on MSE (except for the nasties!)

I went to West Green this morning for opening and they had quite a bit, but unfortunately not much of I wanted. Things were flying off shelves though. I can remember though that they had some peppa pig stuff, nerf guns, sylvanian windmill (small one), some smaller lego, waybalo stuff, zingzilla bits, and quite a few smaller bits. If you pm me with what you were after I'll see if I can remember if it was there.
