Hi, we have a garage and tbh it's a junk room! It is a newbuild house and the garage is bigger than normal ones, everyone who sees it goes.ooh isnt it big!'and IF we sorted all our stuff out onto the nice new shelves we have we could fit our car in BUT i doubt we ever will!..IF i get a VERY nice car then it will go in but tbh it's a faff! Tried it a couple of times and due to me going to work early it's too noisy too.
As for value i will tell you next week as house up the rd has gone up for sale and is the same but no garage so we can work out what the garage is kind of worth from that as we are having it revalued.
As for the walls i doubt a huge job, sounds odd to me not being able to use it for a car but would you actually really use it?0 -
Thanks to all of you who provided me with advice over the weekend. Checked with my solicitor and he has been sent a letter from the Building Control Department at the Council to say that on the final inspection no contraventions of the Building Regulations were apparent. I spoke to my surveyor and he doesnt feel like this is too big an issue. The cost to block up the windows if I prudent and want to use the garage for the car shouldn't be too bad.
Now fingers crossed there are no other surprises!
