Try Heskin Hall at Chorley, my son got married there last year and it was fantastic.:jRemember, if you ever need a helping hand, you'll find one at the end of your arm...As you grow older you will discover that you have two hands. One for helping yourself, the other for helping others.;)0

Anywhere specific? I don't want to say 'Cumbria' if you're in Manchester (or vice versa).
However, this is where my sister had her wedding reception: http://www.innatwhitewell.com/wedding.php It has accomodation and they do civil ceremonies."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
Dannielley We picked the fir grove hotel in Warrington.
Visit the warrington council link I put a few posts above it shows approved wedding venues, then figure out which are hotels, then find their website and email for quotes/brouchures, then go on trip advisor to see what people think of the venue for staying over.
Repeat for other areas nearby (liverpool, Chorley, manchester etc).:kisses2: Got married September 2011:smileyhea

The Inn at White Well looks lovely, but the accommodation is quite expensive:eek:
I am quite fussy about all the boxes being ticked, this is why I am 18 months engaged with nothing booked.

Thanks for that. The Fir Grove is lovely, but I am previously married and got hitched there first time around, so its a no go0 -

It is a bit middle of nowhere, but we laid on a coach that would drop people off closer to where we live where there are a few more cheap hotels. Think we got a discount for block booking as well as we basically had the whole place."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0
