Passport

Options
After reading about the new fees in the paper, just checked the current prices.

What a rip-off.

They go on about it being necessary due to incresed checks etc but if you are only renewing haven't these checks already been carried out?

Yet another stealth tax.

I think I would prefer a big increase in income tax, at least it is transparent then.

But how else are they going to attain the charges required to support the fascist ID card? These will be be £250-£350 per eyar and each time you move house... and all because Britain chose to go to war with a country that had no army.
When is the last time you read 1984 by Orwell, slowly?
  • I was hoping to renew mine before the price hike.... but I'm getting married next year so it would be pointless :p I was hoping to renew my passport with my married name, so it would only be valid after my wedding day - but I can only do this three months in advance. Boo!!!

It classes as a renewal, so same cost as having a new passport
