    I got nothing!

    Ok, so it's a competition club in france, but which one? I guess it's near a river and the piece is on the second side.

    (I got almost nothing)

    I might be looking into this too deep guys, so don't take me up on what I'm saying, but this is what came to mind:

    The Coupe De France, a knockout competition in French football.

    So I looked it up on Wikipedia:

    "The cup competition is named after Charles Simon, a French sportsman who died while serving in World War I and is open to all amateur and professiona football clubs in France, including clubs based in the overseas departments and territories"

    It's located on the left bank of the river Seine, so that'd make sense when it mentions 'across the water'.
