My wife had monthly contract with Sainsbury's Mobile, and it was costing her £16.99 each month. She was not using the free calls she was allowed, and decided it was not the right situation for a low-usage subscriber such as her.
She called the company and asked them to cancel the contract so that she could revert to a pay-as-you go scheme. Some time later she received a bill for £27 which included a chargr for the cancellation of the direct debit.
Despite a letter of complaint to Sainsbury's Mobile she was forced to pay the bill, albeit relunctatly. Three weeks after the bill had been paid she received a Creditors notice threatening her with court action unless the bill was paid immediately.
We are waiting for an apolgy.
Peter
