I disabled JavaQuickStarter in the add-ons yesterday and no problems since. I am running Windows XP Pro on my laptop. Our home PC is running Windows XP Home and I have unistalled all the Java Console add-ons and ensured that JQS is disabled.
No problems reported yet!
I also got fed up with the laptop and PC freezing while waiting for the scripts.
