Internet Abroad (Spain)

Hello,
I'm off to a villa in Spain in a few weeks and I'll need some basic internet access for work. I've currently got an O2 pay as you go mobile broadband thing, and that's it. I'd like to connect on my laptop but perhaps use my (PAYG Orange) iphone as a last resort.
Any idea on the cheapest ways to go about getting the net for checking and answering a few emails?
Thanks!

Using a dongle on a roaming basis is going to cost you a lot of money. Don't do it. get a local SIM or dongle on arrival and do it that way.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Which model of "O2 mobile broadband thing" do you possess?0

If you are going to be there for some time it would seem best to get wired broadband. Otherwise a local provider and a mifi.
If your computer has bluetooth and you can get a suitable local phone, bluetooth is worth a go but getting it to work can be a challenge.0 -
Since you have both a laptop and an iphone, an unlocked mifi would make sense as both could use it at the same time. If you're happy for just the laptop to have internet access, the O2 dongle you already have should be fine, but you may need to unlock it first. This can often be done for free, but depends on the exact model of dongle you have.
Mobile Internet access is not particularly cheap in Spain. I'd probably use either Yoigo (€3 per day that you use the Internet) or Simyo (€0.03/Mb).Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon

Found this new dongle, called abroadband, amazingly cheap prices, 50p/mb and covers worlwide countries, ideal for the EU.
abroadband.com
Just started this month but looks impressive, 80% cheaper than uk roaming prices. Just avoid MB eaters like youtube and mp3 sites and your onto a winner I think.0
