Last year i upgraded to orange on a £25 per month deal and got a free ps3 from CPW.
I have ten months left is it possible to buy myself out of the contract so that i can port to a different network?

It is possible, you would have to pay for the 10 months outstanding line rental. Find out if you can lower the monthly tariff, if you can then lower it and wait one month before buying yourself out and you will then pay the remaining months rental at the lower tariff.
I recently sold my iphone 3gs and used all the £300 just to pay off o2 as the service in my area was awful!0 -
It should be possible, but in all but the rarest of cases, you will have to pay off the remaining line rental, so in this case £250. Some networks allow you to downgrade your package, so this may be an option, after which you could cancel, thus paying a much smaller sum.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0

Only benefit to paying off early seems to be saving the VAT and keeping your number, if Orange allow you to PAC out early. If not, then you could always use your Orange phone for calling where reception is good and getting an initial lower tariff on the new provider.
And don't forget the £8 saving every time you use Orange Wednesdays.0 -
There have been a number of similar threads recently - I cannot see the point in forking out to settle the contract but not getting the beneft of minutes and texts etc that you have paid for.
