HTC desire - is this a good deal?

Hi everyone

I've been trying to find a good 18mth deal on this phone on Orange and the best I can find so far is:

Dial-a-Phone
18mths
300 mins
unlimited texts
unlimited email
500mb internet
£23.33 effective monthly cost after redemption

Do you think this a good deal and is dial-a-phone reliable in terms of cashback?

Thanks :)

  • Redemption offers, as others will tell you, are a minefield. If you are even 1 day late in sending documents in, or if they "don't receive them", you get nothing. If you can't afford the cost without the redemption, don't go for it.

You'd probably be better off going for this at £25 flat (clicky). I know it's a refurb Desire, but that just means it's been sent to someone who opened the box and it was sent back. It comes with exactly the same guarantee as a new one, but is cheaper. You honestly will not notice the difference.

The Three package I've linked to has double the internet and an extra 200 minutes per month. For that, you have to stay on contract for an extra 6 months, but at least you know the deal is "done" from the outset without having to wait for some underpaid and overeducated, bored, sad and lonely bloke in a callcentre in India to click a button and give you some cashback.

If the cashback is important to you, Quidco will get you £64 at the mo.
In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move.
    The late, great, Douglas Adams.
  • Thanks for that. Unfortunately though I have to stick with Orange as I live out in the sticks and it's the only reliable network signal wise for me.

I think I'll try to find a deal without cashback - so many horror stories and I can't be bothered to fight for it if it goes wrong!
