hi there
you will be fine tomorrow. i was worried because i couldn't remember every transaction, but it's not like that. the OR asked me in general what things were for but didn't go into specific transactions. if you don't know the answer to something just apologise and say you don't know.
have a copy of your br paperwork in front of you if you have it, jot down some notes on your spending beforehand but don't worry, and don't waffle, just answer the questions put to you
it's a conversation, not an interogation. good luck tomorrow x0 -
Thanks Guys

Good luck for tomorrow, looking forward to the next installment saying "it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be" :0) xx0

BR + 2 Weeks & 2 Days
OR Interview day.
Ok on the whole not a really unpleasant experience. Of course lots of questions and some of which I did not Know the answers two. This wasn't a problem. She was prompting me allot. Got the impression she was just ticking boxes and a long as what I said was on the "Acceptable answer" list then we could move on. Bit odd really.
I get to keep the car by paying a small amount to buy the BI (my dad is helping out with that) and my IPA will be £64 a month. Not bad I expected something in the region of £150.
The usual stuff Nil tax code until April other than that its all done.
She was not interested in making things hard or taking things away from me. Just doing a job in a professional manor with no judgment at all. It seems to me that the allowances you are allowed during BR are very generous. My family’s standard of living is allowed to be very comfortable. And I am very grateful for that.
Does anyone know if they will send me a copy of the SOA they have done for my reference? I know she was changing things and the numbers she got to were not the same as mine (not allot different) so would like to have a copy of it.
To sum up. Nothing really to worry about and like every step of this thing so far the worst part was the anticipation.

Glad the interviews over for you Who and for posting your experience.
That will hopefully reassure others nervously awaiting theirs. I agree, the build up to the interview can be quite horrendous but overall like you say, they are just doing a job, not there to judge but collect the facts.
Sorry, not sure on the SOA query but im sure someone will be along to help.

hi Who
i'm glad the interview is over and you can breath a sigh of relief! the build up to the interview is the most stressful part i think, it's the unknown.
not sure about the SOA, but if you drop them an email i am sure they will send you a copy xx0 -
BR + Weeks
Ok month 1 done already. That was quick
I haven't been here for a while so a few things to report.
I have had the letter through confirming that my car is exempt and paid the BI so the title of that asset has passed back to me. Good news as it's my only asset and its not much but we love that car.
The OR has refussed to send me a copy of the SOA as she says I should have one from court. I explained that she changed some things during my intivew and I would like a copy as mine is now wrong. This was all discussed via e-mail and after refusing the first time she has ignored my second request. I want to see how they have worked out my ipa cos i had a surplas of£38. Is that ok?????
I have been sent the forms to sign for my IPA. Its quite low so am happy with that. I have also had a request for some more pay slips and a copy of my tenancy agreement (she said that landloards are always informed in BR).
There is also a form about the BI in a property I had vol repoed in July. Is this just a standard letter? There is no BI as was in neg equ and the leander has repoed anyway. If there was BI then I would not want to buy it anyway. Can anyone shed some light on this?
Other than that everything is peachy. Using cashminder now and is v good (cant pay at pump at asda tho but suppose cant have it all.)

BR + 6 Weeks 1 Day
It's been a couple of weeks since I was here so I'll bring you up to date.
I have again agked the OR for my SOA three times now I think and then last week my ful SOA I filled out for the court came throught the post. With the help of this forum I realised that I was using the wrong words as it was only the calcs for my IPA that I wanted but I was asking for the SOA. I called the OR and told her of my mistake and she said no problem. She told me she would send the information in the post that day. Thats one week ago now and I have heard nothing. I'm not gonna push I think I'll wait a bit longer.
I keep getting calls from Barclays. Each time they call they then see on the screen that I am BR and apologise for calling and tell me they wont call again. Thing is they do call again. I was very polite the first 5 or 6 times they called but am starting to get annoyed now. They have even sent me a letter aknoladging the BR as they have had writen notification from the OR. They called twice yesterday while I was at work and got my wife. She on the other hand will not be polite and knows that they should not be contacting me so I'm sure after calliing her a few times they will give up.
The IPA not started yet. Just waiting for the info to come through about how and who to pay.
On the whole all is well. Trying to save up some money as our tennancy agreement is up in May and there is a chance the owners will be coming back. (it was only a 2 year agreement in may 2009). It that happens we will no doubt need 6 mth rent to put down. I need to save about 4.5K I am not doing very well. I hav'nt even mentioned this to the OR as I would not imagine they will care. Some advise on that point would be good.
Anyway work nees done
Thanks for reading

Hi Who
Thanks for the update and hope you get the information you need from the OR through soon.
Annoying about the calls, especially as they are aware of your BR!
Good luck with the saving, its not easy is it. Every time we get a little put by some other bill/expense comes along and we are back to square one, very frustrating. Just wondered if you do end up needing a huge rent deposit, it might be worth contacting your local council. I know ours do a homebond scheme for people going into private rented where they lend money up front for a deposit. Not 100% up on the scheme but just thought it might be worth a look?
All the best with everything and keep your log going if you can. Im sure it helps others to see a timeline of events.

Ill look into it. Thanks Angie0
