Halifax Faster Payments broken today?

Anyone else finding that Halifax are not sending faster payments today?

  • I suddenly have no facility to transfer funds between accounts (that part of the webpage is missing) and the only options i get with my DD's, Standing orders etc is 'view details', no other options.

    Something is seriously broke

    Anyone know the email address for contacting the webmaster...the links on the website are circular and dont lead anywhere. The option for emailing isn't there when u follow their instructions

    https://www.halifax.co.uk/HelpCentre/online_support.asp is the webpage for online banking enquiries. You normally have to do a search on their webpage to get through to that link.

    On a more general note: unless the below page states something different (or there's a deluge of MSE'ers posting a similar experience), asking the Helpdesk if there's a problem is a rather fruitless endeavour.

    Faster Payments is a different kettle of fish, it's well documented on MSE that HBOS have a "temperamental" implementation, and asking them will only prompt the answer "it's not a guaranteed service".
    Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. I try to provide answers based in fact, however I don't know everything, so (like all posters on MSE), take what I say with a pinch of salt.

    It took around 2 hours for the payment to go into my account yesterday (I don't know if thats normal but HSBC and Nationwide are normally instant) and now its disappeared from my Halifax account...

    Yesterday I also removed my £100 overdraft but its now showing as back again, it's as if my account has reverted back to before I made the payment when I still had the overdraft?
