Hi,
My daughter nipped into Argos to buy an Argos value grill for her friend who is off to university.
It has been reduced from £9.98 to £7.98.
But when she went to collect it it was replaced by a similar model - a George Foreman one:j
Aboslute bargain.
I went and bought one myself when she told me.
The catalogue number is 423/3299

Always helps if you put the store where you bought it.
these type of exchanges are not un-common as they re-use product numbers.0 -

Its not that these numbers have been re-used, its what we in the Argos world call intergrations (I work for them) - when Argos decide to stop selling an item they just give any remaining stock a catalogue number from something similar. This tends happen a lot just after a new catalogue launch, but also throughout the rest of the year. This particular grill was sold for £17 at one point so a good bargain.
Theres also some Magicbox phones floating around that have been intergrated to Argos value phones, cat no 552/4660 ( I think!). orginally they sold for about £80, you can now get them for £17.99 :-)
and in theory these bargains should be in every Argos store0 -
Thanks op, i also picked up one in the Coventry Gallagher store today and was indeed a George Foreman. Thanks again :beer:0

If you look at the item through the link underneath it does say:
You may receive a different brand named item of similar specification, but which is cosmetically different.
