  • I just got the George Forman grill from Dartford argos, model number 10060. It's a two portion size, thank you OP :)

went to argos waltham cross and asked to see one. turned out to be a GF one so bought it! it does indeed look like the white version of the one in the link above, although i would say only big enough for 2 portions. anyway, i thought to get another one for my sister so asked for another but that one was a cookworks one :( bought it nonetheless as she will appreciate it, and the reviews weren't too bad.

thanks v much OP! i've just used the GF one to make a toastie, boy it gets hot v quickly so be careful!

£8 for a GF grill, albeit a small one? BARGAIN!!!

Failed again for me at Botley Road, Oxford
  • How big are the plates on the GF one? It looks roughly square, but the Cookworks ones have cooking plate areas each 10" x 8". Not really fussed about the name in the front (it's not for reselling etc) but "portion" can mean anything from a sausage upwards!

They are making some mistakes as a pack of 50 dvd(r) spindle pack are being substituted for 10 dvd(rw) in cases. Using the same code!
  • Don't think anyone even noticed a while ago but I posted this in the argos bargains thread :p

anyway I got this about 5-6 weeks ago from birmingham pallasades so it works there too... and my mum then got one from coventry.

I would say its only 2 portions tbh, but does me and OH fine

I tried this in my local Argos (Portishead). I reserved one and asked to view it. Guy bought it out and just started unpacking it so I stood there to be polite. Had already noticed it was a cookworks and not GF so when it was out of the box, I pretended to look at it for a minute and then said no its not really what Im looking for, sorry!!

I can't see where on the GF one it says the size of the plates, but trust me, it is 2 portions size - 2 chicken breasts would fit on there but no more. I've not opened the cookworks version but it did come in a bigger box compared to the GF.
