tablet devices that can also function as phones

i know no one wants to strap a laptop to ones head, but there is a nice market for such devices especially for people who need to lug a netbook around. if instead they could use bluetooth headphones with tablet devices that are also phone enabled then they can kill two birds with one stone.

guess the ipad 3g version can receive calls, although i havent used one of these.

am seeing many interesting similar devices cropping up especially new android 2.2 tegra 2 chip dual core ones that look well specced and some cheap ones too.

the samsung galaxy s tablet already has many periperals launched too. but am more interested in the tegra 2 chip ones due to better specs and battery life.

people who are into gaming might like these tablets better too than just a smart phone.

if one just need a browsing device with a large screen / ebook reader etc and also phone capabilities then this might fit in well with those requirements and gaming specs are just a bonus. they might find a niche as kitchen / bedroom browsing devices and a bonus if they come with digital tv tuners are some such devices have been launched previewed abroad.
