Just wanted to say that my first time trying it and was booking to try and get a room for me and my sis for a birthday present for her. As happy to pay £29 went straight for those rooms and got one - all though took a while to get onto the page - in the end I used Google Chrome as Internet Explorer wasn't working!
Will try for a £1 one next time!
Def think worth doing - and it was so exciting trying!0 -
They don't reopen the offer, thats it, any booking that are double booked get thrown out of the system I'm afraid so its better to pass them on to a friend if you can

HugsWe don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

i got a room for £1 and £29 - no problems at all, even messed up a few times entering details - Had IE and firefox open - IE crashed after the countdown, firefox had a little blip but after a refresh came back on and whizzed through everthing.
One thing though, from the start I had a message saying that £29 rooms were sold out!0 -

I got a room on December 10th for £1. The key is to log into the site from 11.30am, don't log out or refresh and the timer counts down, it then defaults to another screen and "you are in"
From experience if you try and access the site at midday, it just crashes.
Hope this helps for next time0 -
Finally got the confirmation email! It was sitting in my Junk folder of all places. First time lucky at trying for a £1 room. I honestly didn't think I'd get it after I spent a minute typing in my name, address and card details.
I simply kept refreshing the page at midday. Initially I got an Internet error 500 but after a few attempts, I was able to book the £1 room with relative ease.
Only slight problem is the room is booked for 2 adults but I will be the only occupant. Presumably, this can be amended at check in without penalty, as the rate applies to each room and not per person?
Whenever I'm in London, I always stay at either the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington or the May Fair. First time venturing east, but I'm sure I won't be disappointed, but I'll check out the reviews on Tripadvisor.0 -
First time I tried and got one, thanks!!Thanks MSE!!0

You'll be perfectly fine. I've got this deal a couple of times now & I always check in on my own as my OH joins me later after work.0
