I am beginning to suspect the Hoxton sale is just a clever marketing scam. Strange how the site crashes a minute or two before the sale, then miraculously comes to life again once ALL the rooms have been sold!
Just because it crashed for you doesn't mean it crashed for everyone. Can't you just be pleased for the people who managed to get one!! I've had rooms on this deal before its genuine as many others will tell you. Don't be a sore loser you might get one next time if you try again.

Been 10 mins now and still no confirmation email. I guess I was unsuccessful after all... Or can it take upto a few hrs?
I've had immediate confirmations and ive had ones that take a few hours. If it said you got a room you should be ok :) fingers crossed for you :)

Completely agree, I've been trying for every sale for about the last 2 years and finally got a room so you just have to keep trying and be lucky!

Site was crashing from before midday until about five minutes after. Finally got onto the site but all the dates appeared in white (ie. unavailable). I'm really surprised that anyone managed to get a room, but delighted to see that some people here got lucky. Means it wasn't just a marketing ploy after all, lol!

Safari crashed and I couldn't get on. Explorer crashed but I did get on and after cocking up my credit card details I was too late. I'm sure if the card number was in the right place that room would have been mine.

The site is inundated with people trying to get a room its inevitable it will crash. I'm sure they could do something but its only once every few months & they sell the rooms they have in the offer so I don't suppose they are really that bothered.

It is always worth checking over the next few hours - if anyone has booked in error, or booked too many nights the rooms are usually released for sale again.

A nice thought but surely the link will be dead and they'll just put them back at full price?
  • booo, so close... even got to put my card details in for the £29 room for 5th Nov but wouldn't book :( Still, well done to all those that managed! I'll try again next time.
