I didn't remove the purchase places - for some reason they didn't always appear - and in those cases it doesn't display the Euro amount, just the Sterling amount. The only thing I removed was the balance column.

Anyway, I think the only thing we really care about is the exchange rate, isn't it? You can see from the Esso transaction and the €250 withdrawal that the exchange rate exactly represents the GBP amount divided by the EUR amount.

    Here they are separated:

    07 SEP 2010 ATM Cash Withdrawal 15:51 £205.61 £0.00
    27/08/10 19:09:47

    0.82244
    [Note: Cash withdrawal of €250]
    07 SEP 2010 Card Purchase 15:09 £3.53 £0.00
    30/08/10 13:16:00

    0.8209302
    07 SEP 2010 Card Purchase 09:58 £36.39 £0.00
    30/08/10 10:21:44

    0.8270454
    02 SEP 2010 Card Purchase 09:02 £22.33 £0.00
    30/08/10 08:59:20
ESSO MERICO SS 379 BRINDISI 72100 ITAITA EUR 27

Thanks for the extra detail. Again, on first glance, with the cash withdrawal you appear to get the rate on the day of the transaction as opposed to when it appears on your statement.
The purchases take a little more explaining. Perhaps they updated the rates at lunchtime. :)

In general, confirms there are no deductions. Nice to have another option.

I took the card with me on holiday to Italy and it seems to work just as well as the Nationwide debit card. I used it in several ATMs, a few shops and the motorway toll machines. One ATM rejected it but there were no problems anywhere else (although I couldn't get any of my debit or credit cards to work with the self service petrol machines).

Self Service petrol machines only work with Italian debit cards.

Regarding the ATM, can you please let me know if it is Visa or Mastercard? If possible, can you let me know the first 6 digits?

    Thanks,

    Just Update to this thread.
I managed to open on Account on Friday Morning, June 3rd. So Now I have another Master Card for foreign currency cash withdrawal. They are quite effective. In less than 1 hour I got my account opened with debit card and Online Banking Access.
